Objective- To provide guidelines for carrying out research in transgenic plants.
Scope- It covers areas of recombinant DNA research on plants including the development of transgenic plants and their growth in soil for molecular and field evaluation. The guidelines also deal with import and shipment of genetically modified plants for research use only.
